Sally Robinson, one of the first inductees into the NC Women’s Hall of Fame, is a boundary-crossing leader who has dedicated her life to helping an array of institutions create a humane, wise and just North Carolina. She currently serves on several boards, including the National Humanities Center, the NC Humanities Council’s Advisory Committee and MDC Inc. Previously, she was a trustee of Duke University, founded the St. Francis Jobs Program, Inc., was vice chairman of the board of The Mint Museum of Art and was chairman of the board of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Public Library.She was named Charlotte Woman of the Year in 1988.
