Governor's Reception
It's official! We've now become the North Carolina Governor's Conference for Women. To celebrate, more than 100 women from across the state joined Governor Bev Perdue for a reception on November 5, 2009 at Marbles Kids Museum in Raleigh to unveil the new look. Excitement, connecting and passion filled the air as North Carolina now becomes one of only a handful of states to host a Governor's conference for women.
Having been a part of the conference since its inception three years ago, Governor Perdue emphasized that "this annual convening provides a unique forum to bring together all kinds of women, with benefits for every corner of our state. I am pleased to now make this a Governor's conference."
