Dr. Donna Burkett is a Family Physician interested in health care for women and children, especially teens. Since 2006, she has served as Medical Director for Planned Parenthood Health Systems, the affiliate which serves much of North Carolina, and also teaches at the MAHEC Family Medicine Residency in Asheville. Her avocational passion is teaching sex-ed in a comprehensive, positive and affirming way to kids and their parents, and she is currently trying to apply all she knows to teaching her own “tweenage” daughter and son.
