A native of Venezuela, Alexandra Vilchez earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism.  She immigrated to the US in 1996 and moved to Charlotte in 2000 to work for La Noticia.  She was named Publisher of Que Pasa Charlotte in 2007.  In 2008, she accepted a correspondent position with the Spanish language news agency EFE, the fourth largest news agency in the world.  Her articles have been published in the US, Latin America, Central America and Europe. Alexandra is part of a group of journalists who established the Charlotte Chapter of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists in 2005.
