Speaker - 2007 North Carolina Conference for Women


Diane Dunn is a healer, a UCC ministerand master in the Andean spiritual tradition, as well as a published author. After a career in theatre, she attended Union Theological Seminary in New York City graduating with a Masters of Divinity degree. In the 1990s she worked in South Africa just after the liberation of Nelson Mandela developing a church-based community outreach program for homeless and unemployed people in downtown Johannesburg. In 2000 she moved to Peru where she wrote her book Cusco: The Gateway to Inner Wisdom,the story of her magical adventure into the land of the Inkas, where she met two powerful Andean Masters who taught her to know and live in a new way. Diane lives in Cusco’s Sacred Valley where she runs Paz y Luz (Peace and Light) Healing Center and B&B.

 

 


Mary Tribble

Mary Tribble established Tribble Creative Group in 1985 to help organizations communicate to their audiences through
strategic event marketing and management. Tribble oversees a staff of 17, which implements project management, public
relations, graphic design and in-house video production. Located in Charlotte, NC, the company produces events and
meetings throughout the country. The company has received dozens of national and regional awards for its creative approach to event management and production. Tribble has been honored as Entrepreneur of the Year, Business Woman of the Year and the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Charlotte Chapter of the International Special Events Society. In August of 2007, she was inducted in the national Event Professionals Hall of Fame. She volunteers on a number of non-profit boards including the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce Diversity Council, Entrepreneurial Leadership Circle at the McColl School of Business, Catawba Lands Conservancy and Reynolda House Museum. She founded and co-chairs the Charlotte Green Team, a committee charged with greening Charlotte’s events, meetings and facilities.


Stephanie Gooden

Stephanie Gooding

Stephanie Gooding discovered yoga when she returned to Charlotte after 10 years in San Francisco and New York. She has studied several different types of yoga including Anusara, Vinyasa and Power Yoga. Stephanie started teaching yoga in the Charlotte area in 2005. In February of 2008, she traveled to Mysore, India in order to learn about Ashtanga Yoga in its place of origin.   Stephanie aspires to someday bring her foot to the back of her head while balancing in Natarajasana (also known as King Dancer Pose.) When not practicing yoga, she volunteers with the Adkins Pet Center and also spends time with animals, books and documentary films.
